Kentucky Dairy Development Council (KDDC) has been actively helping producers stay environmentally compliant since 2016 through collaborative project efforts with the Kentucky Division of Water. These projects have enabled KDDC to help producers on Nutrient Management, Agriculture Water Quality, Kentucky No Discharge Operational Permit, environmental sustainability, and compliance such as helping write Kentucky Nutrient Management Plans (KYNMP) and completing Agriculture Water Quality Plans (AWQP) and Kentucky No Discharge Operational Permits for producers. It has been providing educational opportunities through events such as the Managing Poo meeting series, Best Management Practices On-Farm Field Days, other regional meeting series such as Dairy Compliance, Permitting and Programming and the Informative Environmental Compliance Dairy meetings for producers as well.
