KDDC's Beef on Dairy Initiative aims to provide support for the beef on dairy (BOD) segment of the industry to create a reliable end product that helps dairy operations find a sustainable line of diversified income. KDDC has been cost sharing high-quality beef sires for dairy producers since 2022 and in 2024, we will be offering a value-added program, called Kentucky Certified Dairy x Beef, for BOD calves produced through that cost share program and producers have reviewed best management practices related to BOD programs.
This meeting is to provide more information on KDDC's Kentucky Certified Dairy x Beef program and hear directly from industry experts about the BOD segment from the dairy operation to the end product. This meeting is intended for dairy producers, growers, buyers, and industry members to learn about our value-added program and how Kentucky producers are creating superior crossbred calves.
