KENTUCKY KATE

Picture
Kentucky Kate is a life-size, fiberglass, milkable cow that is available for educational and promotional events. The cow was funded by contributions from the Dairy Products Association of Kentucky (DPAK), Kentucky Dairy Boosters, ADA/Dairy Alliance, Kentucky Farm Bureau, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. She made her debut in 2002.

Kate is set up on a wheeled base and travels in her own customized trailer. She has traveled all over Kentucky from Murray and Benton in Western Kentucky to Ashland and Paintsville in Eastern Kentucky. She has participated in school agriculture days, county fairs, parades, June Dairy Days, and regional festivals.

She can be utilized for a nominal fee to KDDC for educational and promotional events. "Got milk?" stickers and coloring sheets are provided at no charge when she makes an appearance. These materials can also be provided free of charge independent of a Kate visit. If you would like to schedule an appearance of Kentucky Kate, please contact KDDC at [email protected] or 859-516-1129.

For information on other dairy-focused outreach for schools or events, visit the Dairy Alliance at thedairyalliance.com/dairy-in-schools/ and Southland Dairy at www.southwestdairyfarmers.com/pages/outreach/mobile-dairy-classroom.

After scheduling, the usage fee can be paid online by clicking "view details." A 3.5% fee is applied for online purchases and is not applicable if paying by check.
