Kentucky Milk Hauler Award

The purpose of the Kentucky Quality Milk Hauler Award is to recognize the Kentucky milk hauler who best exemplifies quality hauling procedures and who is recognized as an exceptional representative of Kentucky’s dairy industry. The contest is open to all milk haulers who sample and weigh Kentucky producer’s milk. Applications may be submitted by haulers themselves or by individuals who are familiar with the nominees’ milk hauling activities All nominations should be emailed to: [email protected] by February 15th, 2026. Applications must be postmarked to KDDC no later than February 8th, 2026, or can be filled out online at www.kydairy.org.

Nominations should be based on a year’s criteria with the yearly period running January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. All hauler nominees are required to have a valid milk sampler-weigher’s license from the Division of Regulatory Services and a sampler’s permit from the Milk Safety Branch during this period.

Nominees will be evaluated on activities that have contributed to the quality of their work and a positive image for the dairy industry. The hauler’s qualifications for the award should be described for the areas identified on page two of the nomination form. Information can be submitted in handwritten format in the space provided or by including the information on separate pages. Attachment pages should address each specific area. Handwritten attachments should not exceed four pages; typed attachments should not exceed two pages. The hauler’s compliance status with all applicable dairy regulatory agencies will be considered and verified by the award selection committee.
